Adipotide
Adipotide — a first-in-class peptidomimetic that targets the vasculature feeding adipose tissue, inducing apoptosis of fat-supporting blood vessels.
- Targets prohibitin on adipose endothelium — destroys fat's blood supply
- Primate studies: 11% body weight reduction in 28 days at research doses
- Preferential action on visceral and subcutaneous white adipose tissue
- Distinct mechanism from all GLP-1, NNMT, and hormonal fat-loss agents
- Potential for sustained fat loss with short treatment cycles

How Adipotide Works
The mechanism of action, step by step.
Prohibitin-Mediated Targeting
Adipotide contains a targeting domain that binds prohibitin — a protein overexpressed on the luminal surface of blood vessels supplying white adipose tissue — delivering its pro-apoptotic payload selectively to fat vasculature.
Adipose Vascular Apoptosis
Once bound to prohibitin-expressing endothelial cells, adipotide triggers apoptosis of the blood vessels that feed fat tissue. Deprived of its blood supply, the adipose depot undergoes cell death and resorption.
Selective Adipose Targeting
Because prohibitin expression on vasculature is substantially higher in adipose tissue than in other organs, adipotide's cytotoxic action is preferentially directed at fat rather than lean tissue.
Metabolic Improvement Secondary to Fat Loss
Adipose tissue reduction secondary to vascular ablation produces downstream improvements in insulin sensitivity, leptin levels, and systemic inflammation — consistent with beneficial effects of visceral fat reduction by any mechanism.

The Science Behind It
Peer-reviewed research supporting the mechanism of Adipotide.
Targeted vascular deletion ablates adipose tissue in obese mice
Adipotide selectively killed adipose endothelial cells expressing prohibitin in obese mice, producing rapid and sustained reduction in fat mass with restoration of insulin sensitivity without systemic toxicity at low doses.
Science, 2004Adipotide causes rapid weight loss and improved insulin sensitivity in obese monkeys
Obese rhesus monkeys treated with adipotide for 28 days showed 11% body weight reduction, 27% reduction in waist circumference, and significant improvement in insulin resistance, with reversible renal effects at higher doses.
Science Translational Medicine, 2011Prohibitin as a vascular address for targeted anti-obesity therapy
Prohibitin is expressed at high levels on the luminal surface of adipose vasculature in obese subjects but not in lean controls, validating it as a selective molecular address for fat-targeted therapeutic delivery.

Unique mechanism unlike anything else
Researching this specifically because of the vascular mechanism — nothing else works this way. Early results at 3 weeks show visible reduction. Monitoring kidney markers carefully as literature suggests.
Promising early results
2 weeks in at conservative doses. Waist measurement is down 1.5 inches already. Will continue monitoring and report back. The mechanism is fascinating scientifically.
Best for stubborn visceral fat
Have tried multiple approaches for visceral fat. Adipotide at 4 weeks produced the most visible reduction in abdominal fullness I have seen. Blood work at week 4 was fine.
